King of the Jungle
When thinking about many of the wild animals that live out in the jungle, it is certain you think of a lion. A lion is a tannish color big cat that is usually found in Asia or India. Lions are magnificent animals and are interesting animals to learn about. I decided to do my topic on lions because I have been fascinated with lions pictures and lion short videos since a young child. Lions are interesting animals to me because of their appearances. A lion is so big and strong, and even has athletic abilities such as running and jumping.
In my research paper, I related the film "The Lion King" to actual lions and researched why they are considered the king of the jungle. In the film, the lion is ruling over all the other animals and shows leadership like a king does. Lions are known to be the "king of the jungle" because of their power and strength. Lions are not afraid of anything, they fear no animals. Although lions are not afraid, they do have enemies. The enemies of a lion is a hyena or either a group of hyenas. Lions and hyenas are in competition for food. The lion is known to win in battle versus a hyena, but however, a pack of hyenas can bring down a lion. Lions will eat wildebeests, zebras, buffalo's, or warthogs. Lions are a type of wildlife animal that has heart and the dignity to accomplish whatever is to be done.
Lions are the only wildlife big cats that travel in groups, the groups are called prides. Prides are really close family groups and there are usually about ten to twenty lions in one pride. In a pride, lions hunt prey, raise cubs, and defend their territory together. In prides, the females do most of the hunting and cub rearing. Usually all the lionesses in the pride are related-mothers, daughters, grandmothers, and sisters. Each pride generally will have no more than two adult males.
